This morning, Vitória and Feyenoord made the transfer of João Carlos Teixeira official. The former Vitória player signed a contract valid for two seasons, until June 2022, with the option of one more year.
Both the Victorian SAD and the Dutch did not disclose the values involved in the deal. Vitória limited itself to saying that “in addition to the amount agreed between the parties, the contract also grants performance bonuses” and SAD also maintains a percentage of the media’s economic rights. “Vitória SC wishes the player the best of luck for this new stage in his career,” the statement can read.
After being introduced by the Dutch, João Carlos Teixeira is already part of the Feyenoord squad. The new number 20 for the Rotterdam club was described by Feyenoord technical director Frank Arnesen as a ‘versatile’ midfielder with ‘goal scoring’, who can bring experience to the squad after having represented big clubs.
