Government helps pay for new windows in houses before 2006 – O Jornal Económico

The new program of the Government Environment Fund will contribute 4.5 million euros to make the homes built in 2006 more energy efficient as a way to boost economic activity.

According to a statement released this Wednesday, the Ministry of the Environment will support small works, such as changing windows or placing photovoltaic panels. Works or material purchases can be reimbursed at 70%, with a limit of up to 7,500 euros.

Each candidate is limited to a maximum total incentive of 15,000 euros, with the maximum limit per single-family building or autonomous fraction of 7,500 euros, ”the statement read.

The program, which has an economic endowment of 4.5 million euros (1.75 million euros this year and 2.75 million euros in 2021), comes into operation on September 7 and is part of the program of recovery included in the Supplementary Budget for this year.

According to the note, the initiative is aimed at “individuals who own residential fractions or buildings, built until the end of 2006”. Starting this Wednesday, the information will be available on the website of the Environmental Fund.
