The spectacular accident that occurred last night, on the highway, in the Santa Rita area, resulted in four injuries, one of which inspired greater care.

The accident involved two cars and a motorcycle, having occurred at approximately 11 p.m. Monday. The device stopped all traffic in the direction of Funchal-Câmara de Lobos, and mobilized more than two dozen firefighters from three corporations, supported by more than six vehicles.

Among the injured, a woman, a child and two men, the motorcycle driver was the one with the most serious image, having projected a few meters. The victim, who had several traumatic injuries, was rescued by the Sapadores of Funchal, using immobilization splints, a hard plank and a cervical collar.

The Madeira Volunteer Firefighters and the Câmara de Lobos Volunteer Firefighters were also present, as well as the Rapid Intervention Medical Team (EMIR).
