The Judicial Police of Braga investigates a complaint by former members of the Intercultural Friends of Mobility Association (Mobility Friends), of Barcelos, for alleged misappropriation by the president of the same, of 671 thousand euros, advances the Newspaper (JN).

The Association, based in the parish of Gamil, denies any illegality and affirms that the complainants want to take revenge and dispute their market, since they have an institution for the same purpose.

The complaint, made by two Polish citizens, former members of the Association, refers to other illegalities such as receiving money without an invoice, buying land with under-invoicing and buying prefabricated houses for 775 thousand euros, when their real value would be much lower.

TO JNThe Association’s lawyer, Rui Senra da Cruz, said he was unaware of the investigation, that the association was not heard in any investigation and denies any wrongdoing.

He added that “a criminal complaint has been filed against the authors for defamation and libelous accusations and they have already been charged.”

Mobility Friends’ attorney also claims that the plaintiffs are acting out of revenge and wanting to dispute their market.

The non-profit association offers services to groups of young people from other European countries who exchange within the framework of the Erasmus + program.

Also according to that newspaper, the association is going through a moment of judicial turbulence, as it has been the target of nine lawsuits filed by both Poles and former employees.

For its part, Mobility Friends is said to have filed four cases with the two plaintiffs and former employees.

In fact, in the Barcelos Court, a civil action filed by the two Polish businessmen demanding the annulment of the expulsion of the association has already been tried and awaits sentence.

In this action, they claim that they bought a share from another partner, for a large sum, but, contrary to what had been agreed, they were left without managerial powers.
