TAP’s share of total movements at Porto’s Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport fell to 3% in the second quarter, compared to 25% in the same period of 2019, from the second to the eighth largest company, according to ANAC data. .
According to the Quarterly Statistical Bulletin of the National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC), at the Porto airport, TAP represented only 3% of the movements registered in the analyzed period, going from second to eighth place in the list of the 10 largest companies to operate. in that infrastructure, behind Federal Express Corporation (18%), Star Air (14%), European Air Transport Leipzig (13%), Ryanair (10%), Swiss International Air Liens (8%), Deutsche Lufthansa (4%) )) and Luxair (4%).
Also at the Humberto Delgado Airport, in Portela, Lisbon, the number of TAP movements in the total operation decreased from 54% in the second quarter of 2019, to 15% in the same period of this year, maintaining, however , in the first place in the list of the 10 largest companies.

On July 17, the Council of Ministers approved the granting of a loan of up to 1.2 billion euros to TAP, in accordance with the decision of the European Commission.
In addition to the loan repaid in favor of the TAP Group of 946 million, to which they may add 254 million, without, however, the State being obliged to make it available, the negotiations aimed at the acquisition, by the Portuguese State, of “participations , patrimonial rights and a part of the complementary payments of the current shareholder of TAP SGPS, Atlantic Gateway, SGPS, Lda. “.
Thus, the Portuguese State now holds a total shareholding of 72.5% and the corresponding economic rights in TAP SGPS, amounting to 55 million euros.
