There are six municipalities in Portugal with more than 1000 confirmed cases: Lisbon leads with 1791, follows Vila Nova de Gaia with 1458, Port with 1304, Matosinhos with 1216, Panty with 1153 and Gondomar with 1050, according to data published this Tuesday in the epidemiological bulletin of the General Directorate of Health (DGS).

The north has the highest number of deaths, 660, followed by Lisbon and the Tagus Valley with 254, the central region with 219, the Azores with 15, the Algarve with 14 and the Alentejo with one dead. In Madeira there are no dead to cry.

There are already 1163 deaths and 27,913 cases of covid-19 in Portugal, according to data published this Tuesday in the epidemiological bulletin of the General Directorate of Health (DGS). 19 more deaths and 234 cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

The general mortality rate is 4.2% and the mortality rate over 70 years is 15.3%.

There are already 3013 patients who have recovered, which corresponds to 10.8% of confirmed cases. There are 709 infected people hospitalized, 103 in intensive care. Patients receiving home treatment represent 82.5% of the total.

The DGS status report now points to 279,933 suspected cases since the beginning of the year, of which 249,301 have not been confirmed and 2,719 people awaiting laboratory results. 27,054 people in Portugal are under surveillance by the health authorities.
