Good news has come for those who have installed the latest version of WhatsApp tests. Now the chat application already allows you to make video calls with up to 8 people simultaneously.

The fact that we are, many of them teleworking, has fueled an increase in the number of video calling services. Therefore, the strong competition made each service try to improve its characteristics to compete with the others.

WhatsApp Beta has extended the limit if you participate in a video call

The Beta Testers version of WhatsApp has expanded the capacity of users simultaneously in video calls. Therefore, as of now, the app allows you to have more than the usual 4 participants, allowing them to be 5, 6, 7, or even 8 at the same time.

With the emergence of other tools that quickly became popular in this phase of the pandemic, such as Zoom, more "traditional" services have to improve the offer to consumers. Otherwise, they lose the race.

In this sense, the Facebook company, owner of WhatsApp, created the beta version of the application equipped with one of the most sought-after features. In other words, it made it possible to have video calls to multiple people simultaneously.

WhatsApp has been working on this feature since the beginning of April.

Starting today, you can have up to 8 participants in the same video call. To do so, simply update the WhatsApp Beta application, which is version 2.20.133. But all participants in the conversation should also do this same update.

This function can be used for voice or video calls, through the application available for iOS and Android.

For now, nothing has been announced about the availability of this novelty for the stable version of the application, however, it is expected to reach users in the coming days. Even so, WhatsApp is not far behind in the choice of consumers, because, as we know, in a technological competition, whoever comes first has a greater chance of succeeding.

To try it out, you can either install the trial version of the app or wait for the update to be released for the stable version.
