62 dead and 6,472 infected by coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Portugal – Society

In the last 24 hours, Portugal registered 62 more deaths and 6,472 new cases of coronavirus. With the updated data in the Epidemiological Bulletin of the General Health Directorate this Friday, the country already has 3,824 deaths and 255,970 confirmed cases.

There are less 54 people hospitalized since Friday (out of 3025), in intensive care 485 people are hospitalized.

The Northern Region concentrates 4070 of the new cases, that is, 63% of the new infected by Covid-19. It is followed by the Lisbon Region and the Tagus Valley with 1534 more cases, the Central Region, with 656 more, the Alentejo with 97 more and the Algarve with 57 more infected.

The Autonomous Regions of Madeira and Azores have 10 and 48 more infected, respectively.

24 of the deaths registered this Saturday were registered in the North Region, 23 in the LVT Region, nine in the Central Region, five in Alentejo and one in the Algarve.

According to the DGS bulletin, in the last 24 hours 112 more surveillance contacts were registered, totaling 80,521. There are 6,379 more people who have recovered from the disease, now there are 169,379 recovered

Regarding the demographic characterization of the confirmed cases, 138,276 correspond to women and 112,961 to men. 1967 deaths correspond to male elements and 1857 to female elements.

The DGS bulletin this Saturday indicates that one of the deaths is a young woman between 20 and 29 years old.
