SÃO MIGUEL – 57 NEW POSITIVE CASES:

– 27, related to previously identified transmission chains;

– 16, to be verified;

– 4, residents, with travel history (referred to screening on the sixth day);

– 10, the result of four new transmission chains determined in the last 24 hours (one in Ponta Delgada, with 1 element and three in Ribeira Grande – two with 4 elements and one with 1 element).

THIRD – 1 NEW POSITIVE CASE:

– 1, resident, with travel history (referred to screening analysis on the sixth day)

SÃO JORGE – 1 NEW POSITIVE CASE:

– 1, related to the previously identified transmission chain.

RECOVERIES – 9:

– THIRD – One, in Angra do Heroísmo;

– SÃO MIGUEL – Eight (four in Ponta Delgada, two in Ribeira Grande and two in Lagoa).

CURRENT SITUATION IN THE REGION:

INTERNATIONS – 22:

– SÃO MIGUEL – 20, at the Hospital do Divino Espírito Santo in Ponta Delgada (1 of which is in the ICU);

– THIRD – 2, at the Santo Espírito Hospital in Angra do Heroísmo (both in ICU).

DRIVE CHAINS:

EXTINCT – 80:

– To date, 80 transmission chains have been extinguished, two of them in Ponta Delgada and Ribeira Grande, in the last 24 hours.

– There are currently 435 positive positive cases in the Region, 339 in São Miguel, 38 in Terceira, one in Pico, five in São Jorge, two in Flores and nine in Faial.

– To date, 2,001 cases of infection by the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes the COVID-19 disease, have been detected, with 22 deaths and 1,491 recoveries.
