According to the bulletin published this Saturday, Portugal has registered 141,279 confirmed cases of infection by the new coronavirus and 2,507 deaths.
Of the 39 deaths, 23 occurred in the north, 12 in Lisbon and the Tagus valley, two in the center, one in the Alentejo and one in the Algarve. The North region continues to register the highest number of new daily infections, today with more than 1,900.
Regarding hospitalizations, the number of people hospitalized continues to increase, with 1,972 people now, 45 more than on Friday, and of these, 286 are in Intensive Care Units, 11 more than yesterday.
Health officials now have 64,514 people under surveillance, 791 fewer than in the last 24 hours. The DGS also reveals that there are 58,492 active cases, 1,137 more than yesterday. In the last 24 hours, 2,831 cases were recovered, totaling 80,280 since the start of the pandemic.
