The body of the 32-year-old man who disappeared this Sunday, while fishing in the Tua river, near the village of Valverde da Gestosa, in the municipality of Mirandela, was recovered by the authorities on Monday. The victim had multiple gunshot wounds, possibly a hunting weapon.
According to information made available to Lusa by GNR, the man left home on Sunday morning to go fishing.
Around 7:30 pm, the authorities were alerted to the disappearance and began searching the place.
OR Firefighters, GNR soldiers and popular people searched for them for about two hours. Traces of blood were found at the place where he was fishing.
The body was found after midnight and taken from the river near the place where the authorities found the fisherman’s belongings.
According to the source, the case was handed over to the Judicial Police to investigate the circumstances of the death.
