This Thursday morning an earthquake was felt in the Lisbon area.
The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) reported that the earthquake was registered at 09:51 on the seismic network and the epicenter was located about eight kilometers east of Loures, on the Tagus River, next to São João da Talha.
There are several reports on Twitter that the earthquake was felt in the capital.
# SãoDomingosBenfica Strong shaking, glasses to chew and glasses to cheer. I was sitting at work. Dry shaking sound. @ipma I can’t fill in the data, the page must be in high demand 🙂 #Lisbon #ShakingTerra #Equake https://t.co/MlvchyzQKg

Another earthquake I felt in Oeiras … One day they will prove us right, for the worst reasons.
For now, it is a good sign that the earth releases moderate amounts of energy. https://t.co/FKWzImzRQS– David Ferreira (Leitão) (@davidoleitao) March 18, 2021
