A 19-year-old youth, without occupation and considered very violent, was arrested by the civilian brigades of the PSP in Almada for five robberies of the elderly. One victim even broke her foot during an assault.
The investigation has been ongoing since June. With a police record, although he was never tried, the thief worked alone in the areas of Almada, Feijó and Laranjeiro. The victims were beaten and subjected to psychological duress, without personal property. The young man was mainly looking for gold items.
In one of the crimes, our newspaper found, the victim had a broken foot as a result of the assaults. She needed hospital treatment. On Thursday, and after the evidence gathering stage, criminal investigators from the Almada PSP advanced to arrest the young man.
Two wires, a bracelet, a medal, a crucifix and a horn, all in gold, were seized, as well as a scale, a dagger, a knife, a cell phone and 81.8 doses of hashish. Picked up in custody.
