Aníbal Pinto, accused, as well as Rui Pinto, spoke this Friday in court. The alleged extortion attempt on Doyen has been explained.

Aníbal Pinto is, along with Rui Pinto, a defendant in the case of alleged extortion of the Doyen company. This Friday, in the first session of the trial, the lawyer pleaded not guilty.

“I know what happened with Doyen and the mess I had with Sporting in Switzerland. I was tricked, caught by a lawyer [Pedro Henriques] in this process. When I went to Nélio [Lucas], from Doyen, I realized that I did not have an air of a pout, I thought ‘you have a client here’, it should be profitable. When Rui Pinto asked me to help him draw up that service contract, I asked him for 25,000 euros a year, which gives 1,800 euros to a computer technician. It seemed like a perfectly adjusted amount, because I paid 1500 to mine and it is little. When I was with Nélio, he asked me if my client could access the servers of the Portuguese Football Federation. I replied that I did not know if I could do it or not, I had never seen him in front of the computer and I did not know if he had attacked the servers. What was on the table was a service contract. He did not know what Doyen was, nor did he know about the process in Switzerland. Nélio asked me for guarantees in a confidentiality contract and a clause of 100,000 euros in case Rui Pinto spoke about the situation, ”he said in court.

“I have been with Rui Pinto twice, almost 10 minutes each, I would not have 300 thousand euros, let it be clear, I would not have that amount in fees. After four years, they basically added facts to convince me to be charged. Doyen recalled that four years later, Mr. Nélio was offended because, at that time, I was unable to reveal his name for the sake of confidentiality. The contract for the service of 1800 euros per month was signed. I never spoke of millions, Nélio had been attacked several times and it did not suit him that the contracts, like those of Jorge Jesús and Mangala, were public, he offered a million euros to find out the name of Rui Pinto. I was the hacker at the time. I said that I was serious, that I did not accept and that I did not commit illegalities. Not a million, not a hundred million.
