Bruno Costa Carvalho formalized this Thursday, at the Cosme Damião Museum, his candidacy for the presidency of Benfica.
However, the Porto businessman does not know if this will be accepted, given that, according to the statutes, he must be 25 years old and only 18 years old.
“A request for verification was made to the board of the General Assembly and I presented valid arguments. I trust that the candidacy will be accepted, but we know that it is easier to run for the presidency of the Republic than for the leadership of Benfica,” criticized the candidate, considering a plan B, if the list is rejected.
“It is a question that we have to assess. This is not a list of egos. The most important thing for me to be a candidate is the presentation of a project. But we know that it can have a different projection if the list is led by someone who is already on it. many years ago, ”he added.
Regarding the project presented, Bruno Costa Carvalho aims to “make Benfica a European superclub” and wants the club to have an international projection to gain followers in other markets, such as Asia, the Middle East and South America.
