Coach Paulo Sérgio said today that he expects Portimonense to be “brave and capable of putting their skills on the field” in the match with FC Porto on Saturday, matchday 24 of the Portuguese First League.
“We have to be a concentrated team, brave in the moments without the ball and impose our abilities to compete for points,” said the Algarve coach at a press conference.
In the previous match with the national champions in title, the coach said that he expects a “very difficult match, but Portimonense’s obligation is to go play the match.
“That is always our message. Create arguments during the game to play the game, similar to what we have done in all games,” he recalled.
Paulo Sérgio recalled that, in the two games played against FC Porto, Portimonense was a team that “competed well, and although they had made things difficult for the dragons, no points were scored.”

For the coach, FC Porto “is always a very competitive team, even when things don’t go the best way, because they have been a brand image for many years”.
