PNI2030 pays for two calls in the capital. Grande Porto will have four more metro lines and three more by metrobus. The Environment Minister wants to launch most of the execution tenders next year.

The meters in Porto and Lisbon will have 1.89 billion euros to grow and the Minister of the Environment, Matos Fernandes, expects that most of the public tenders for the design and construction of the new connections will be launched by the end of next year. An ideas competition for the design of the new bridge over the Douro River, upstream of the Arrábida crossing, will advance in early 2021.

For the capital region, the Government allocates 719 million to extend the red lines to Alcântara and Amarela to Benfica. A check for 1,170 million will reach Greater Porto to break four connections: Gaia line 2, between Boavista and Santo Ovídio, the Souto line, in Gondomar, the S. Mamede line, between Oporto and Matosinhos and the Porto Circular line, which will bring Boavista closer to Asprela (see infographic below).
