Plumating sperm count, declining penis: Toxic chemicals threaten humanity | The environment

T.Is he the end of mankind? He thinks it may come sooner, thanks to hormone-disrupting chemicals that are reducing fertility at an alarming rate worldwide. A new book, Countdown, by Shanna Swann, an environmental and reproductive pathologist at the Icahn School of Medicine in Sinai, New York, found that sperm counts have dropped by almost 60% since 1973. After what we are proposing, Swan’s research suggests that sperm counts could reach zero by 2045. Zero. Let it sink. That means no children. There is no reproduction. No more human beings. Excuse me for asking: why isn’t the UN calling an emergency meeting right now?

Blaming chemicals for this crisis are found in everything from plastic containers and food wrapping, to cleaning products to waterproof clothing and fragrances, to soaps and shampoos, to electronics and carpeting. Some of these, called PFAS, are known as “permanent chemicals” because they do not break down into the environment or the human body. They just come together and come together – do more and more damage, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day. Now, it seems, humanity is reaching an end point.

Hans’s book is surprising in its findings. Swann writes, “In some parts of the world, the average bisexual woman is less fertile than her grandmother at age 35. In addition, Hans has discovered that, on average, a man would be half of his grandfather’s sperm today.” “The state of reproductive affairs cannot continue for long without threatening human existence,” Swann writes: “It is a global existential crisis.” It’s not hyperbole, it’s just science.

As if this wasn’t horrible enough, Swan’s research found that these chemicals not only dramatically reduce semen quality, they also decrease penis size and the amount of tests. This is nothing less than a full-scale crisis for humanity.

Swan’s research echoes previous research, which has found that PFAS impairs semen production, disrupts male hormones and is associated with “decreased semen quality, testicular volume and penile length”. These chemicals are literally confusing our bodies, causing them to send messaging messages and become pollinated.

Given everything we know about these chemicals, why not do more? Right now, this is a palatal patchwork of inadequate laws responding to planetary crises. Laws and regulations vary from country to country, region to region, and state to state. The European Union, for example, bans many fats in toys and sets limits on fats considered “reprotoxic” – meaning they harm human fertility – in food production.

In the United States, scientific studies have found “late” in infants to be “widespread”, as those chemicals were found in the urine of children exposed to specially formulated baby shampoos, lotions and powders. However, there is a lack of aggressive regulation, not because of lobbying by the giants of the chemical industry.

In Washington State, legislators approved pollution prevention for our future legislation, which “instructs state agencies to address classes of chemicals and move away from chemicals through chemical approaches, which historically have turned companies equally bad or worse. Substitute. The first chemical classes addressed in the products include phthalates, PFAS, PCB, alkyphenol ethoxylate and bisphenol compounds and organohalogen flame retardants. “The state has taken important steps to address the extent of chemical pollution, but, for the most part, the United States, like many other countries, is fighting a losing battle due to weak, inadequate legislation.

In the United States today, you can’t eat venison caught in Oscoda, Michigan, as the health department there advised a deer caught near a former air force to “don’t eat” because of the surprisingly high level of PFOS in a deer’s muscle.

And, in the second week alone, hundreds of residents living near Luke Air Force Base in Arizona were advised not to drink their own water, when tests found high levels of toxic chemicals. Scientists have found these substances in the blood of almost all people tested in the US. No country or region on earth is untouched by PFAS contamination. That is a global problem. PFAS has been found in every corner of the globe. It is present in virtually every human body. It is found in deep sea fish and high flying birds flying in the sky.

And it literally kills us by damaging and attacking the very source of life: our fertility. The rapid death and reduction of sperm must be taken into account, and it must now be taken into account. There is no time to lose.
