Sony has announced that the PlayStation 5 will be priced at Rs 499.99 when it launches on November 12, with the digital version of 399.99. Prayers will begin on September 17. “Select retailers”
Pricing puts Sony ahead of Micro .ft’s Next-Gen console, the company will release its entry-level Xbox Series S for 29 299 and its flagship Xbox Series X for 10 499 on November 10.
The November 12 release date will apply to the US, Japan, Mexico, Australia, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea, with the rest of the world getting a new console on November 19. Sony has also noted that China has yet to finalize its release date, which it will announce later.
For comparison, the PlayStation 4 is priced at શરૂઆત 399 at launch, although it currently sells for 9 299, while the PlayStation 4 Pro originally sold for $ 399, a price that still sells out big sales like Black Friday. It is unclear whether Sony is considering lowering prices or discontinuing older models after the PlayStation 5 expires later this year.
It’s also worth noting that the PlayStation 5 will include backwards compatibility for the “overwhelming majority” of the existing PlayStation 4 lineup, although details are still slim. That extensive library will help make this holiday season more appealing to potential PlayStation buyers than your old console.
In addition, the initial price, although certainly expensive, is not Sony’s most expensive console. That honor still goes to the PlayStation 3, priced at 4 9,499 for the 20GB model or 5 9,599 for the 60GB, leaving it as the most expensive console ever sold, even after nearly two and a half decades.
