Phyllis makes some roster decisions today

Today was kind of a deadline with Phillies and their current roster. They want to go to Philadelphia without any questions about the roster. After the bullpen (more or less) had already settled, they finally settled on a midfield position and made some roster moves. After much controversy and discussion, the team announced their move.

Adam Hessley and Roman Quinn have won center field jobs, sending Odd Dubel Herrera to an alternate site in preparation for the minor league season. If you want to count Scott Kinjeri and Travis Jankowski, this spring you had a fierce battle with five contenders for the job. Hazle was then injured and everything was thrown into chaos. Kinjeri never got hit, so he got out very quickly. Herrera did well to start, but in the end the tail was killed. Once Hazel went back and continued to hit well, that seems to be the precedent. Looking at the final tiles for the players, the choice was obvious.

With these and yesterday’s decisions on Kinjari and Jojo Romaro, the final roster is almost set. The crime, at least, appears to be over.

C – JT Realmuto, Andrew Knapp
INF – Rhys Hoskins, Jean Segura, Didi Gregorius, Alec Bohm, Brad Miller, Ronald Torres
Of – Bryce Harper, Roman Quinn, Rev. Andrew McCutchen, Matt Joyce, Adam Hasselli

According to manager Jo Giradi, the pitching rotation is also set.

SP1 – Aaron Nola
SP2 – Zack Wheeler
SP3 – Zach Afflin
SP4 – Matt Moore
SP5 – Chase Anderson

Bullpen is where we still see some possibilities. While Jiradi hasn’t said anything yet, it looks like this:

Hector Neris, Archie Bradley, Jose Alvarado, Kerner Bragdon, Vince Velasquez, David Haley, Sam Kunrod, Brandon Kintzler

It gives us a full 26-man roster, which we can expect to get out and make the necessary runs to continue with the Behemoths at the top of the division.
