PHOENIX – A Phoenix Fry grocery store has issued a recall of fresh seafood products purchased at a Fry location near 40th Street and Thunderbird Road.
According to a press release, Fry’s issued the seafood recall that was purchased at the full-service counter or in the self-service case from 6 a.m. on Friday, July 17 to 4 p.m. on Friday, July 24.
Fry says a temporary equipment malfunction caused the box of fresh seafood to possibly not maintain the proper temperature, causing the products to be subject to temperature abuse.
Possible temperature abuse could have caused the growth of decomposing organisms or pathogens, although there have been no reports of illness or injury, says Fry’s.
Affected items include:
- Atlantic salmon
- Catfish
- Pacific cod fillet
- Crab cake
- Crab salad
- Lobster tail
- Salmon burger

- Scallops
- Shrimp ceviche
- Raw and Cooked Shrimp
- Snow crab
- Stuffed crab
- Imitation Krab Surimi
- Swordfish steak

If you are concerned about an illness, Fry’s tells you to contact a healthcare provider. Affected products must be returned to the Fry location for a full refund or replacement. All customers who used a loyalty card for their purchase will receive notification via a receipt tape and a phone call.
