YouTube Reveals First Official 24-Hour Views Of BLACKPINK’s ‘Lovesick Girls’ MV

YouTube has revealed the total views in the first 24 hours of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK’s new music video “Lovesick Girls.”

BLACKPINK made their comeback on October 2 with “The Album,” which includes the title track “Lovesick Girls.” The music video for the song was also uploaded to YouTube on the same day.

YouTube told Manila Bulletin Entertainment on October 6 that the “Lovesick Girls” music video garnered 61.4 million views in the first 24 hours after its release on October 2. This becomes the sixth largest 24-hour music video debut on YouTube of all time.

This is BLACKPINK’s third personal best for MV debuts, garnering the lowest views among the three music videos they released this year.

The music video “How You Like That” garnered 86.3 million views in the first 24 hours after its June 26 release and the “Ice Cream (with Selena Gomez)” MV, released on August 28, garnered 79 , 08 million reproductions in the first 24-hour cycle.

BLACKPINK now has four entries in YouTube’s top 10 rankings for the most viewed music videos in the first 24 hours of release of all time.

“How You Like That” is number 2 and “Ice Cream (with Selena Gomez)” is number 3. “Lovesick Girls” is number 6 and “Kill This Love”, with 56.7 million views, is the number 7.
