A lot is happening at the Royal Rumble. Not only will Goldberg challenge for the WWE Championship from Drew McIntyre, but Edge will return to the ring in Rumble’s men’s match. Not only that, he will be the number two entrant, after number one, Randy Orton.
The Royal Rumble begins the road to WrestleMania, and the winner gets a shot at the world championship at WrestleMania. There will be two Rumbles this year: one male and one female. Both world championships will also be defended. In addition to the aforementioned WWE Championship match, Kevin Owens challenges Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship.
Last years Royal Rumble totally shaken. It featured Brock Lesnar starting at No. 1 and wrecking everyone, until Drew McIntyre entered the arena and Claymore kicked Lesnar out of the ring. On Sunday, WWE will attempt to recreate similar magic, but without the help of a dynamic live crowd.
