WHO Sees ‘Strong Commitment’ From Pfizer To Affordable COVID Vaccine

GENEVA – A senior World Health Organization official said Tuesday that the agency was in talks with Pfizer to list its COVID-19 vaccine as part of an early global rollout.

Bruce Aylward, senior adviser to the WHO, said he saw a “strong commitment” from its executive director, Albert Bourla, to set prices at appropriate levels for the poorest populations. He expected news of more manufacturers joining the COVAX vaccine facility’s vendor list in the coming weeks, he added.
