MANILA, Philippines – Cleanup operations are underway where a steel beam from part of the ongoing Skyway project fell on East Service Road in Muntinlupa City.

In a video taken by Radyo INQUIRER on Tuesday, workers could be seen performing clean-up operations along East Service Road in Brgy. Cupang.

No heavy traffic was noted throughout the affected area.

One motorist was killed while four others were injured after a steel beam fell on vehicles passing by on East Service Road Saturday morning.

Among those affected are three cars and two motorcycles.

The president and director of operations of San Miguel Corp. (SMC), Ramón Ang, previously apologized to the victims and families of the accident and assured that the company will provide assistance.

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III ordered a workplace safety inspection of the Skyway expansion project after the construction accident.
