Olivia Rodrigo has taken Tonight’s Show with Jimmy Fallon to give his television debut of his runaway hit ‘Driver’s License’.
Rodrigo performed the song by playing the piano under a rotating spotlight, accompanied by a string section, which gave the song a more orchestral feel than the original.

The ‘Driver’s License’ was an almost instant hit upon its launch, breaking numerous Spotify streaming records. He currently holds the record for the most single-week streams of a song on the platform (over 80 million), as well as the record for the most single-day streams for a non-holiday song.
Talking to NME On the success of the song, Rodrigo said: “I mean, that’s it … All the recognition that the song has is beyond my wildest dreams.”
“Taylor Swift is my songwriting idol and I wouldn’t be half the woman and songwriter I am today without her, she came up and was very supportive of the song,” she continued.
“I just found out the other day that Lorde likes it, Halsey likes it, all these people I’ve grown up listening to say they like the song.”
The song is still at the top of the UK and US charts, and recently Yungblud gave it a simplified version.
