MANILA, Philippines – Vice President Leni Robredo visited her hometown province of Camarines Sur, devastated by the typhoon on Monday, and will also assess the situation in other parts of the Bicol region hit by super typhoon Rolly.
In a post on social media, Robredo said that he reached Camarines Sur and will visit other areas affected by the typhoon such as Albay and Catanduanes.
“I left Manila before dawn today. CamSur just arrived and these were the first signs of devastation that we saw, ”he said.
“Albay and Catanduanes will also visit,” added the vice president.

Meanwhile, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) continued its relief efforts in the Bicol region.
In photos provided by the OVP, Robredo’s staff and members of the Vice President’s Security Detachment are rarely shown packing relief items.
