Hopefully CLARITY will be around the corner when the University of Santo Tomas presents its findings on the alleged Bicol bubble training of its men’s varsity team to a government-created investigative body Tuesday afternoon.
Findings about the Tigers’ alleged offseason training at Capuy, Sorsogon under the supervision of coach Aldin Ayo, have been presented to UST Chancellor P. Richard Ang, OP and director of the Institute of Physical Education and Athletics (IPEA) , Father Ermito de Sagon, OP.
The university presidents that make up the league’s Board of Trustees also saw the report last Friday, though it will be on UAAP president Nonong Calanog de La Salle and CEO Atty. Rebo Saguisag to present the report at the 4 pm meeting.
They are expected to attend from the group consisting of the Interagency Task Force (IATF) for Emerging Infectious Diseases, the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) national training director Marc Velasco, the Commissioner of the Higher Education Commission (CHED ), Prospero de Vera, Department of Health (DOH representative, Rodley Carza, and the Chairman of the Board of Games and Entertainment (GAB), Baham Mitra.

However, insiders are not expecting any action yet.
The UAAP, according to the sources, is waiting for the UST to take ‘proactive action’ by handing over the sanctions to those responsible for the stay in Sorsogon before taking a position in the meeting with the IATF panel.
