Previously, GCash temporarily suspended its services hours before Christmas Eve, prompting users to complain online.
“GCash services are temporarily unavailable. We are working hard to restore service as soon as possible. For the affected transactions, rest assured that the funds are safe and will be processed within the next 24 hours, ”reads the notice issued Thursday.
At the time of publication, GCash’s post received hundreds of complaints from social media users.
“What time will your maintenance finish? It’s only a few hours before Christmas, please don’t give me canned food on Christmas Eve PLEASE, I just don’t have anything to eat, ”said a Twitter user.
(How long will this maintenance end? A few hours later and it’s Christmas. Please don’t make us eat canned goods on Christmas Eve. Please, I have no food).
“How can I celebrate Christmas then?” Said another social media user.
