MANILA, Philippines – A graduate of the University of the Philippines (UP) in Manila emerged as the top ranked in the November 2020 medical licensure exam, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Thursday.
Jomel García Lapides topped the medical board examination with a score of 88.67 percent.
Lapides was followed by Patrick Joseph Mabugat from the University of Saint La Salle and Adrian Emmanuel Teves from the University of Santo Tomas (UST), both with a rating of 88.58 percent.
Henrick Ryan Fong from UST and Raphael Cecilio Rodolfo from UP-Manila ranked third with a rating of 88.33 percent, followed by Rafael Emmanuel Mendoza from the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health (88.17 percent), Chino Paolo Samson from Lyceum Northwestern University-Dagupan City, and UP Manila graduates Hannah Chito and Tiffany Grace Uy (88.08 percent).
Oops in 2015 she earned her BA in Biology and graduated from UP Diliman with the highest overall weighted average in the history of the university since WWII.
The People’s Republic of China said a total of 3,538 out of 4,704 passed the licensing physical exams issued by the Board of Medicine.
