Since 2000, the Pantone Color Institute has predicted a color of the year that will best resemble current events and trends in our global culture in the coming year. For 2021, instead of a single option, they have announced two colors of the year, Neutral Ultimate Gray and Illuminating Bright Yellow, symbolizing enduring strength and uplifting hope.
In its websiteLeatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, stated that “The union of a long-lasting ultimate gray with vibrant Illuminating yellow conveys a message of positivity backed by strength. Practical and solid as a rock, but at the same time warm and optimistic, this is a color combination that gives us strength and hope ”.
