An empty Tigres cage could be the only thing left when the exodus of players from the University of Santo Tomas ends.

Sources said Manila Bulletin On Sunday Mark Nonoy could become the last player to leave the Growling Tigers’ lair following reports that he is heading to De La Salle.

An official word from Nonoy or La Salle has yet to be announced at press time, though online sites have already reported the imminent transfer.

Another source also claimed that he is indeed moving into the Green Archers’ lair.

Previous reports also indicated that Adamson may be interested in acquiring Nonoy’s services after photos of him with Adamson’s coach Franz Pumaren, who played and led the Green Archers to five UAAP championships, surfaced online.

Nonoy, a product of Negros Occidental, made his presence felt in season 82 when he took Rookie of the Year honors and helped the Tigers make their first final appearance since 2015.

Former team captain CJ Cansino was the first to leave the Tigers’ lair at the height of the Sorsogon training bubble controversy and was transferred to the University of the Philippines.

Brent Paraíso, Ira Bataller and Rhenz Abando went to Letran, while Jun Asunción moved to Mapua.

During these outings, head coach Aldin Ayo submitted his resignation along with assistant coaches McJour Luib and Jinino Manansala.

UAAP later announced Ayo’s indefinite suspension, a decision the multi-title coach said he would appeal.

Meanwhile, it is reported that JV Gallego from the National University will also be going to an NCAA school, but no official announcements have been made yet.
