Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 2) – The reinstatement of Phoenix Fuel Masters forward Calvin Abueva’s professional basketball license is now in his own hands.

The Games and Entertainment Board (GAB) on Friday listed two conditions that you must meet before you can get your license back.

President Abraham Mitra said the star cage must undergo mandatory drug testing. You must also attend a seminar on the Code of Conduct and Ethics for a Professional Athlete and state that you will comply with it.

Abueva is currently inside the PBA “bubble” in Clark, Pampanga to train with his teammates. But she needs to obtain her professional license before she is allowed to play during the resumption of the 2020 PBA Philippines Cup, which will begin on October 11 at the University of Angeles Foundation gym in Pampanga, north of Manila.

On Tuesday, Abueva, along with Phoenix head coach Topex Robinson, met with GAB officials to request the revocation of his license revocation.

Licensing is your first step before you can formally return to PBA court. The revocation came after PBA suspended it indefinitely in June 2019 after two separate incidents.

He was ordered to pay a fine of $ 70,000 – $ 20,000 for a verbal altercation with a fan who later identified herself as the girlfriend of Elite’s Bobby Ray Parks. and ₱ 50,000 for flagrant foul 2 against Terrence Jones of TNT KaTropa.
