WASHINGTON, United States – US President Donald Trump left the hospital where he was being treated for Covid-19 on Monday, just after announcing that he will “soon return to the election campaign.”
Wearing a mask, the president left the hospital near Washington, giving a nod of approval as he entered a vehicle that took him to a waiting helicopter.
“We will be back to Campaign Trail soon !!!” Trump had tweeted moments before. “Fake news only shows fake polls.”
Trump was hospitalized on Friday after testing positive for the coronavirus. He announced Monday morning that he would be leaving Walter Reed Medical Center that night to continue his treatment at the White House.
