BETHESDA, United States – President Donald Trump said in a video posted Saturday that he “had no choice” but to risk exposure to Covid-19 in his role as American leader.

“I didn’t have a choice. Because I just didn’t want to stay in the White House,” Trump said in a video apparently filmed at the Walter Reed Military Medical Center, where he is being treated for the coronavirus.

“It had to be in the front … I can’t be locked in an upstairs room and totally safe,” he said. “As a leader you have to face problems. There has never been a great leader who would have done that. “
