Bernie Sanders hopes for a speedy recovery from the threat to our democracy
Beginning his campaign remarks in Michigan today, Bernie Sanders wished Donald Trump a speedy recovery.
“Let me begin by wishing the President and the First Lady a full and speedy recovery from the Covid-19 disease they are facing now,” Sanders said.
It comes less than two weeks after a Sept. 24 speech titled Trump’s Threat to Our Democracy, delivered after the president went “further down the road of authoritarianism.”
“This is not just a choice between Donald Trump and Joe Biden,” Sanders said after Trump’s refusal to commit to a peaceful transfer of power. “This is a choice between Donald Trump and democracy, and democracy must win.”
