Well, it seems Toyota didn’t need to wait until 2021 to launch its ultra-compact battery electric vehicle after all. This ladies and gentlemen is the new C + sheath. We’ll see.
It is 1,290mm wide and 1,550mm high, but it’s still ultra-compact at just 2,490mm long. In appearance, it is basically the same as the small BEV concept we saw earlier, only shorter in length and taller in height.
Fortunately, this time we can also see the interior of the vehicle well. It is a small space, composed mainly of black, white and gray plastic pieces. It’s worth noting here that Toyota gave this huge doors to ensure easy access for passengers.

The small C + capsule is powered by a 51 Ah, 9.06 kWh lithium ion that allows it to function 150km on a full charge, with a top speed of 60 km / h. Charging time, meanwhile, is 16 and five hours with a 100V / 6A and 200V / 16A single-phase charger, respectively.
The ultra-compact vehicle also comes equipped with safety features such as a pre-collision safety system for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists. There is also a smart clearance probe with parking support brakes.
This BEV can also function as an emergency power supply. It can provide power for up to 10 hours through the accessory outlet inside the cab. The standard charging inlet located between the headlights can also be used as an external power outlet.
Two variants are available: Grade X priced at ¥ 1,650,000 (roughly P765,000) and grade G priced at ¥ 1,716,000 (about P796,000). There are no mechanical differences between the two, but there are three different three-tone color options, as well as a standard A / C system available for the top variant.
So what do you say about Toyota’s newest creation? It is not yet known when it will be widely available, but do you think this is something that should be brought to our market?
