The president of the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), Abraham Tolentino, completed his ballot for the POC elections scheduled for November 27.
The Cavite congressman managed to put together a formidable ticket for the matter, as it included the National Sports Associations (NSAs) that performed well last year.
Tolentino, Director of PhilCycling, will select Tom Carrasco Triathlon as POC President.
Also included in the lineup is head of gymnastics and dance sports Cynthia Carrion as treasurer, while Chito Loyzaga of baseball will run for secretary.
Rounding out the ticket are board members Dave Carter of judo, Pearl Managuelod of Muay Thai, famed surf physician Dr. George Canlas and Cong. Prospero Pichay of chess.
The ticket will be completed by Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) boss Al Panlilio for the first vice president and Ormoc Mayor Richard Gómez of fencing and modern pentathlon for the second vice president. Both were already announced as part of the ticket earlier this week.
Tolentino’s lineup will face Atty. Clint Aranas of archery, who points to the leadership of the POC, along with current president Steve Hontiveros of handball, and Philip Ella Juico of athletics as first VP and Ada Milby of rugby as second VP.
A total of 51 NSAs, two representatives of the Athletes Commission and the member of the executive board of the International Olympic Committee Mikee Cojuangco-Jaworski will cast their votes.
