TNT reveals Mamba jerseys
TNT Tropang Giga will sport a different look in their game against sister team Meralco on Saturday night at the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup.
TNT unveiled on social media on Saturday a new black and gold color scheme for its uniform, paying tribute to late NBA legend Kobe Bryant.
“Unleashing ALL THE BLACK GIGA MAMBAS tonight! [Let’s] get that victory #TropangGIGA !!! “the team announced on their official Twitter account.
On Instagram Story, TNT also posted the uniform accompanied by emojis of yellow and black hearts.
This will be the first time that the franchise will appear with black shirts, moving away from its traditional blue and yellow colors.
The “Black Mamba” jerseys the Lakers wore during the NBA playoffs had that winning touch for Los Angeles, securing four of five wins while wearing the commemorative uniforms.
Tropang Giga is hoping to emit the same energy when it plays the Bolts at 6:45 pm at the University of Angeles Foundation Sports and Cultural Center to finish off the double header.
TNT, now on a two-game hitting streak, had lost its first place after an 85-79 loss to the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Gin Kings.
And the “Giga Mamba” T-shirts could be the lucky charm that Tropang Giga needed to get back on the winning column.
Geneva sits atop the standings at 7-2, while TNT and the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters share second place at 6-3.
Meanwhile, Meralco is building on a two-game winning momentum to take third place and improve at 5-3.
