MANILA – Talk ‘N Text used a second-half explosion to push Phoenix, 110-91, back in a battle of undefeated Philippine Basketball Association teams at the University of Angeles Foundation Sports and Cultural Center on Monday night.
Tropang Giga edged the Fuel Masters 65-37 in the last 24 minutes of action to walk away for good.
RR Pogoy faced an ankle injury suffered in TNT’s last game and racked up 30 points on 11 of 22 shooting, five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block as the team returned to first place solo with a 4-0. Record.
Poy Erram added 18 points on 7 of 12 shooting, 15 rebounds, one assist, three blocks and a steal from the bench.
Matt Wright’s 31-point blast went down the drain as Phoenix suffered its first loss after a 2-0 start.
