MANILA, Philippines – TNT hopes to live up to its new name when the PBA resumes its season at Clark, Pampanga.
The franchise will now be known as Tropang Giga, going from its nickname KaTropa that it had since 2016.
In a statement, the team said that Giga is derived from the Greek word “gigs,” which means giant.
“We don’t just go big, we always go giga!” said the team.
This is the fifth name change for the team since it became part of the Smart Communications umbrella.
