CEBU CITY, Philippines – The number of patients free of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Cebu City has increased to 15.

This after the Department of Health in Central Visayas (DOH -7) today, Sunday (April 12, 2020) reported on another negative laboratory patient in the city, a 53-year-old man, and bringing the total number of people who 22 are recovering from The disease in the Central Visayas.

Since March 19, 2020, a total of 1,365 samples from Central Visayas were analyzed at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC), the sub-national level laboratory.

Dr. Jaime Bernadas, DOH-7 director, once again reminded the public to obey the containment measures imposed on their communities, especially with several local governments planning to extend the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).

“The resolution that we have shown in recent weeks as a community, although not perfect, has been exemplary. Let us improve it as our local authorities extend our quarantine period, ”Bernadas said in a press release.
