Black Sheep, the ABS-CBN film company, has asked the public to report cases of film piracy at the 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival.

“We have BIG (eggplant emoji) SURPRISES in store for you on Fan Girl, and we want you to see them the way they should be seen … Report piracy cases on Black Sheep’s social media pages and check out the film NOW at via http://Upstream.ph Black Heart #MMFFonUPSTREAM, ”the film crew shared on Twitter along with a warning sign.

“Fan Girl,” produced by Black Sheep, is one of 10 entries at the Metro Manila Virtual Film Festival.

“You may end up in jail,” said the film production.

Black Sheep said that MMFF movies are best viewed in full high definition.

“Do yourself a favor and see every little (and big) detail not just in Fan Girl, but in every movie at the Metro Manila Film Festival.”

Paulo Avelino, main protagonist of “Fan Girl”, was trending on Twitter after his fans made big news about the frontal scene.

“It’s not that he’s holy, but I wasn’t expecting it,” wrote a netizen about Paulo showing his genitals in the film.

“I don’t hate Paulo Avelino. He’s a celebrity and does things as an artist. As for me, which is far from it, I wish I was a trend one day, but not because of my penis, “added another.

“Fan Girl” revolves around Jane (played by Charlie Dizon), Paulo Avelino’s biggest fan. Her obsession with Paulo Avelino (Paulo Avelino plays as himself) leads her to hide in the back of his truck and follow him “home.” She ends up in an unknown house in an unknown place with an unknown Paulo Avelino, the idol she thought she knew from head to toe, heart and soul.

The same film was screened at the Tokyo International Film Festival and the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. It is directed by Antoinette Jadaone.
