The Premier Volleyball League turns professional

Six club teams that are part of the Premier Volleyball League have agreed to turn pro. And this is the direction the league will take when you meet with the Games and Fun Board today. Sports Vision President Ricky Palou said this ahead of his meeting with GAB President Abraham Mitra and an announcement to be made this Friday night. “We sat down with him (Mitra) three or four weeks ago. The namin concern is the financial aspect, kawawa ang teams. He assured us na, ‘Hindi kami BIR.” We just want to make sure that no maganda ang pagtakbo ng mga liga, “Palou said in a statement. Among the clubs that want to be part of a professional volleyball organization are Creamline, Petro Gazz, Motolite, Choco Mucho, Banko Perlas and BaliPure. As a professional league, PVL will begin to have a professional status during the start of its 2021 season. This will make the PVL the second women’s sports league in the country to turn professional.They will follow the path traveled by the National Women’s Basketball League. Palou believes that the time has come for the PVL to go pro. The organizers believe that there are many female volleyball players in the country who can join a professional group and make this happen.
