Its new console area is disconnected from the instrument panel to lengthen the appearance of the dash. A mild hybrid version comes with a 48-volt motor and is powered by a 134 HP 1.6L Smartstream diesel engine mated to a seven-speed DCT or a six-speed Intelligent Manual Transmission (6iMT). An optional four-wheel drive is available.

There’s also the 1.0L T-GDI Smartstream engine that can be paired with a soft-start hybrid generator and paired with either a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission or an optional 6-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive.

Then there is the hybrid model that uses a 1.6L GDI engine and an electric motor with a combined power of 139 HP and combined with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission and two-wheel drive. The 32 kW electric motor draws its energy from a 1.56 kWh lithium polymer battery.

To enhance the driving experience, the Kona’s suspension has been re-tuned with modified anti-roll bars and rear bumper, plus various parts of the vehicle have been updated to improve noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), further increasing the ride. cab comfort.

Finally, Hyundai welcomes the new Kona to the N Line family. The front comes with a streamlined N-style lip with low corner fins and larger, more technical air intakes.
