The DOT website lists the tourist spots now open to visitors

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 18) – The Department of Tourism has launched an online platform listing local destinations now accepting visitors amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The website contains a list of the regions and provinces of the Philippines, detailing the tourist spots that are already open in their respective areas.

Also indicated on the platform are the health protocols and tourism requirements that visitors can expect at each site, as well as certified accommodation establishments throughout the country.

Authorities previously approved the reopening of renowned tourist destinations Boracay and Baguio to more locals, in line with the government’s plan to slowly revive the tourism and travel industry amid the current health crisis.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of Tourism, Berna Romulo-Puyat, confirmed that the province of Ilocos Sur will be open to the residents of Luzon on November 15, “once all the health and safety systems and measures are in place.” .
