“Yes, we can,” Lorenzana said Tuesday night when asked if the country could flatten the curve this month. She made the guarantee to New Zealand’s ambassador, Peter Kell, during their virtual meeting on August 27.

Lorenzana and Kell were supposed to meet last March, but were unable to do so due to the imposition of the enhanced community quarantine.

In a report relayed by the Defense department to journalists, Lorenzana praised New Zealand’s proactive measures in response to monitoring and controlling Covid cases in the Oceanian country.
