THAILAND has submitted a tight 10-man roster for the second window of the 2021 Fiba Cup Asia Playoffs.
Pressed for time, the Basketball Sports Association of Thailand (BSAT) will participate in an all-local professional team without Thai-American head man Tyler Lamb.
Hi-Tech Bangkok City’s main players have taken the reins to represent Thailand in the Group A game series in Manama.
Leading the charge are Chanathip Jakrawan, Nakorn Jaisanuk, Nattakarn Muangboon, Wattana Suthisin, and Chatpol Chuengyampin.
The quintet were part of the Thai squad that came second to the Philippines at the 30 Southeast Asian Games last year in Manila.
Bandit Lakhan, Sukhdave Ghogar and Montien Wongsawangtham are the other high-tech players on the list, while Anucha Langsui and Anasawee Klaewnarong from Thai General Equipment round out the list.
High-tech MP Manid Niyomyindee will make the decisions for Thailand in place of American mentor Chris Daleo, who is still in the US.
The club has been breaking it in the national league, winning the 2019 Thailand Basketball Super League and the 2020 Thailand Basketball League last October.
The Thai team departed for Bahrain on Monday as it prepares for its three matches in this window.
