The agencies of K-pop group Girls’ Generation leader Taeyeon, 31, and member of boy band VIXX, Ravi, 27, have denied that the two are dating.
This was after Korean news outlet Joynews24 released an exclusive report and photos on December 27 stating that Taeyeon and Ravi were on a Christmas day date.
SM Entertainment, Taeyeon’s agency, said the two are close senior and junior colleagues who work in music.
Korean media reported that Ravi’s agency GROOVL1N initially confirmed the report, but later corrected it and denied that the two are dating.
Joynews24 reported that Taeyeon and Ravi have been dating for a year. It was reported that Girl’s Day member Hyeri was the one who introduced the two.
He said that Ravi visited Taeyeon’s home in Seongsu-dong in Seoul around 10 a.m. and then they went to Ravi’s home in Seolleung in Gangnam.
Taeyeon was a guest on Ravi’s “Question Mark” show on Naver Now on December 21. Ravi appeared as a guest on “DoReMi Market,” also known as “Amazing Saturday,” which aired on November 28. Taeyeon is a cast member of the television show.
According to a YouTube video by reporter Lee Yeji or “Simple Lee” who wrote the story, she “got the information from a person in the entertainment industry who knows them very well.”
“The two have a relationship that cares and supports each other beyond seniors and juniors in the music industry. The judgment is yours, ”he said, adding that Taeyeon and Ravi met for three days from December 25 to 27.

Simple Lee said that after the news report was released, security at Taeyeon’s residential building became very strict.
