Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 13) – The Immigration Office confirmed the arrest of suspected American pedophile Donald Robert Tyler in Cebu.

In a press release on Sunday, the agency said the 57-year-old man was arrested by joint agents from its fugitive search unit (FSU) and the National Bureau of Investigation at his residence in Brgy. San Roque, Ginatilan, Cebu on Thursday.

“The agents who arrested him were reportedly armed with a mission warrant that (Commissioner Jaime) Morente issued at the request of the US authorities in Manila,” the BI said.

Citing a report by FSU chief Bobby Raquepo, the bureau said Tyler received a warrant for his arrest by a circuit court in Josephine County, Oregon, in early November last year for a first-degree sodomy offense. .

While he is a retiree in the Philippines, BI says that Tyler is already considered an undocumented alien, citing the cancellation of his passport by the US State Department.

Pending deportation, Tyler will be temporarily detained at the BI Warden facility in Taguig City.

“He will be blacklisted and banned from re-entering the Philippines for being an undesirable alien,” Morente said.
